Fossil Cow Shark Teeth
Step into the deep-sea history of the world’s most primitive predators with our collection of authentic fossil Cow Shark teeth. Unlike the classic triangular shape of most sharks, Hexanchiform teeth are prized for their unique “comb” morphology, featuring multiple serrated cusplets on a single, elongated root. Our collection features specimens from both the Seven-gilled (Notorynchus) and Six-gilled (Hexanchus) varieties, primarily sourced from the iconic Sharktooth Hill in California and the Eocene deposits of the Isle of Sheppey. These “living fossils” have remained largely unchanged for millions of years, offering a rare glimpse into the prehistoric deep-sea ecosystems of the Miocene and Eocene epochs.
