The Extinct Great White (Carcharodon hastalis), often referred to by collectors as the “Broad-tooth Mako,” is the direct ancestor of the modern Great White. These teeth are the epitome of transition—possessing the iconic heart-shape of a Great White but without the serrations, making them some of the most aesthetically “smooth” and beautiful fossils in the world.
