Fossil Thresher Shark Teeth

Own a piece of one of the ocean’s most specialized hunters with our collection of authentic fossil Thresher shark teeth. Known scientifically as Alopias, these Miocene and Pliocene fossils are a favorite among collectors who appreciate clean, aerodynamic lines. Unlike the bulky Megalodon, Thresher shark fossils feature a slender, smooth-edged crown and a distinctive, widely arched root that sets them apart from almost any other species. Our specimens are primarily recovered from the Sharktooth Hill bone bed in California and the fossil-rich riverbeds of South Carolina. Hand-selected for their needle-sharp tips and high-luster enamel, these teeth represent a lineage of “speed-specialists” that have patrolled the open oceans for over 20 million years.
